Aishwarya voted the sexiest star
NEW DELHI: No one expressed surprise when former Miss World Aishwarya Rai was voted Bollywood’s sexiest actress in a recent online poll, a newspaper reported on Tuesday. But a relative newcomer in the world’s most-watched movie industry, John Abraham, raised eyebrows by knocking the more established Shahrukh Khan from the top spot to win the male award, The Asian Age said in its report on a Durex survey on sexual attitudes.
The survey of 317,000 people in 41 countries found that Abraham is considered the sexiest actor in India’s movie industry, with 20.6 per cent of the votes - while Khan took 16.3 per cent of the ballot, the Age said. Abhishek Bachchan, son of Hindi movie legend Amitabh Bachchan, came a close third with 15.1 per cent votes. Ekta Kapoor, a leading Bollywood producer, told the Age that what turned her on about former model Abraham are his "sexy jawline" and "his fat smile." But "Shah Rukh’s enigma and intensity are unbeatable," she added.
Among the female stars, Rai was far and beyond the most hoped-for date, winning 20 per cent of the votes in the survey. Rani Mukherji won 12.8 per cent votes, while Mallika Sherawat, an actress who has won passionate admirers and critics in recent years with her scantily clad appearances, won only 9.5 per cent support in the poll.
Abhishek Bachchan, born on February 5, 1976, is a No. 5 (Mercury). Though No. 5 usually goes with any number, it’s incompatible with No. 9. Again, Abhishek is an air sign (Aquarius) and Aishwarya is a water sign (Scorpio); air and water don’t make for a good mix.
However, in early February this year, there was a story doing the rounds that Aishwarya and Abhishek’s kundalis matched.
