Monica Belluci to play Sonia Gandhi
After much speculation, it has been confirmed that Italian actress Monica Belluci will play the role os Sonia Gandhi in Jagmohan Mundra's biographical film. Talks were on for quite some time and Belluchi finally came on board last week. Earlier, Ashwarya Rai & Preity Zinta were being considered for the role. However, The Italian actrees was zeroed in on due to her striking resemblance to Sonia Gandhi. Most of the film will be in English, since Sonia Gandhi speaks Hindi only publicly. Its seems that Sonia Gandhi did not really approve of the book on which the fim is based and will not be given any input since it is not an official biography. The remaining members of the cast are yet to be finalized. Jagmohan Mundra is currently all geared up fo rthe release of his film "Provoked" starring Ashwarya Rai as the lead female. The film was recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

I have never seen Monica in any film as yet....is she a realatively new actress and if she is then why did Jagmohan Munda casting her in this film. He should have opted for a more seasoned actress preferably a local actress who are as good as any actress in the world. I think being an Indian he should give preference to locals rather than getting an Italian actress.
